Ken Gilmartin is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wood and an executive member of its Board of Directors. He was appointed as CEO in July 2022, having joined the company in September 2021 to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Ken is focused on delivering against the company’s strategic priorities of creating an inspired culture, driving performance excellence, and delivering profitable and sustainable growth.
Before joining Wood, Ken spent 15 years at Jacobs where he held a variety of operational and project leadership roles including Executive Vice President of the People & Places solutions business where he held operational responsibility for more than half of Jacobs’ overall business portfolio. Ken has worked internationally throughout his 25-year career including leading the delivery of major programmes across multiple sectors.
Originally from Ireland, Ken has lived and worked in Germany, Indonesia, Qatar, Egypt and the US.

Azad Hessamodini
Executive President, Consulting
Azad Hessamodini became Executive President of Wood’s Consulting business in May 2022. In this role, he leads over 4000 professionals who provide technical and digital advisory solutions in areas including decarbonisation, hydrogen, carbon capture, asset optimisation and digital solutions.
Azad has over 25 years’ international experience in the construction, energy, management consulting, mining services and private equity sectors. He joined Wood in 2011 and initially led the APAC subsea field developments, deep water engineering and asset integrity divisions before moving into the growth & development function.
Azad also served as President of Growth and Development for Wood's Consulting business where he was responsible for development and implementation of growth strategies, and business planning globally.
Azad has a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in civil and structural engineering and an MBA from the University of Western Australia.

Craig Shanaghey
Executive President, Projects
Craig Shanaghey is Executive President of Wood’s global Projects business. He assumed this role in February 2023 and took on executive responsibility for 14,000 talented people who deliver high value capital investment solutions in energy and materials markets across the globe.
With three decades of experience garnered in the pharmaceuticals, oil, gas and broader energy industries, Craig is a seasoned and proven leader. He has worked at Wood for almost two decades and was previously Executive President of the company’s global Operations business.
Throughout his career, Craig’s focus has been on delivering business growth and increased quality of earnings through innovative client and supplier partnerships, end market diversification, and an empowered and motivated workforce.
Craig is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and formerly chaired Offshore Energies UK’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Group. In addition, Craig is a chartered engineer and a fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, a fellow of the Energy Institute and has also been appointed to the Advisory Board of AFBE UK, the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers.

Steve Nicol
Executive President, Operations
Joining the Executive Leadership Team in February 2023, Steve is responsible for leading our Operations business of 15,500 people across the globe operating, managing and enhancing our clients’ operations.
He is an accomplished leader with decades of professional experience including 20 years with Wood. Prior to his current role, Steve was Deputy Chief Financial Officer, responsible for driving financial performance, and before that served as Chief Financial Officer of Wood’s former Asset Solutions business across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Steve is a Fellow member of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants and a Board Member of the Offshore Energies UK (OEUK).

Marla Storm
Chief Human Resources Officer
Marla Storm is Wood’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Joining the company in January 2024, Marla is responsible for the company’s human resources function, ensuring that Wood is a world-leader in recruiting, retaining and developing a global engineering and consulting talent pool.
Marla joined Wood from Balfour Beatty where she was Chief Human Resources Officer for the company’s Buildings, Civils and Investments business in the US. Prior to that she held HR leadership roles across a range of industries including Boeing and McKesson.
Marla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Jennifer Richmond
Chief Strategy Officer
Jennifer Richmond is Wood’s Chief Strategy Officer. She joined the company in 2022 and since then has been instrumental in the development and execution of the company’s three-year growth strategy launched at its last Capital Markets Day.
As Chief Strategy Officer, Jennifer is responsible for leading the functions critical to the company’s strategic growth and delivery. This includes safety, sustainability, corporate development, marketing & communications, IT, quality, supply chain, security and travel.
Before joining Wood, Jennifer had a 19-year career at Jacobs where she held a variety of leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Sales for the Federal and Environmental Solutions business. Before that, she served as Senior Vice President for the Advancing National Security and Defence business where she led a worldwide team of 5000 people delivering mission-critical solutions to the U.S. Department of Defence and other government clients.
Jennifer was recognised as one of the ‘Top 25 Execs to Watch’ by Washington Exec in 2020. She is a certified project management professional and has a passion for inclusion and diversity.

Michael Rasmuson
Group General Counsel
Michael Rasmuson is Wood’s Group General Counsel with responsibility for the company’s legal, ethics and compliance functions.
Before joining Wood in January 2024, Michael was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Nabors Industries.
Starting his career as a private practice lawyer, Michael was formerly a long-term leader at Baker Hughes, one of the world’s largest energy services companies, latterly serving as Executive Counsel for its product lines. With more than 25 years of legal and risk management experience, Michael has lived and worked in a variety of global locations including the US, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Michael received his law degree from the University of Wales, Cardiff and undertook his undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary.
